I ordered the eggplant dish to celebrate my birthday, thinking it would be a great choice from a highly-rated restaurant nearby. What a mistake! It tasted so sour, like someone had poured vinegar all over it. I’ve had pickles that were less sour! I actually enjoy sour flavors—I even drink rice vinegar for fun sometimes. But the acidity of the eggplant was overwhelming and completely ruined the dish for me. Unfortunately, I ended up throwing it away, which is something I almost never do. I've been upset about this for nearly a year now. At the time, I didn’t want to write a review for a local spot, but today I was reminded by Yelp to share my experiences, and I realized how disappointed I still feel about my ruined birthday meal. So here I am. I really hope that what I was served was just a mistake or a fluke because I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place.
This was a fantastic place for our Friday date night! I should mention that we chose the vegetarian option and ordered the Tagliatelle and Cacio e Pepe. The Tagliatelle was definitely the highlight! It had a lovely lemony flavor, complemented by perfectly cooked mushrooms, asparagus, and garlic slices. However, the Cacio e Pepe was just average; I’ve had better. Next time, I think I’ll try the pomodoro spaghetti instead! The portion sizes were just right, and I appreciated that the handmade pastas weren't too heavy—definitely a plus!
Had dinner here recently and really enjoyed everything we tried. My partner and I split the salumi and cheese board, tagliatelle pasta and cacio e peppe. The tagliatelle really stole the show for me. The pasta was fresh and delicate, with a light oregano flavored sauce and sautéed asparagus and mushrooms. So simple and delicious. The salumi and cheese board was generous, but nothing over the top...I would try something different next time. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and service here. Great local spot, very cozy and delicious comfort food. Who doesn't love a big bowl of pasta?
Girlfriend and I got the ravioli and tagliatelle, both were dry and undercooked. Cocktails were small and expensive. The desserts and staff were the only good things.
