I had bad experiences at other local pizzerias that did not take my concerns about cross-contamination seriously and gave me wheat-based crust when I ordered gluten-free. However, that was not the case here. Both times I visited, the staff were very understanding and careful. They even checked with me to make sure they were using the right tools to cut my pizza. The result was amazing. I don't know if it's just my preference for gluten-free food or the way they make it, but the texture and taste were fantastic compared to regular pizza. I had a similar experience at another pizza place nearby, but the second time I went there, they made a mistake and used gluten, resulting in a bad taste. This usually happens when the staff are not attentive. I believe it's more about the staff and how they handle the ingredients rather than the actual ingredients themselves. The consistent factor for me is the atmosphere; this restaurant has always had a professional and respectful (if not warm and friendly) atmosphere, allowing me to enjoy a delicious pizza once a week.
Update: Online order can be accidentally disabled if the demand is high, main website will notice this, but the individual pages of the location order are not. The limited open time of 20 hours/week is even more limited. Original: Food is great, order accuracy can be met or miss. If there's someone who looks old enough to supervise from high school things, it's pretty solid. Other nights... double your order before you move out. *very* limited hours, only 20 hours outside the week.
Located at the corner of the street, this small square boasts a lively atmosphere, stylish decor, and quick service. Don't be fooled - they offer more than just pizza! I was able to enjoy a delicious pizza, beverages, and breadsticks for under $15!
You always have a great pizza here, plus a few handcrafted beers. The pizza is a must try when you are in Portland!
I typically order a whole pizza because slices usually don't have enough cheese for my liking. Today I ordered a pizza with extra mozzarella and received this... (see picture attached). It was not up to my standards, but Hotlips responded promptly and fixed my order. They gave me a new pizza that was delicious! I am now adding an extra star to my review.
