We had a nice culinary experience! jakes famous cancer is full of history! we had great servers that are there to show them a real experience. the server took their time at the table to thoroughly explain the menu and the history behind the restaurant. this place is definitiw on the pricier page! but their payment for the experience and not just eating. we were able to book a reservation on yelp that was great for a busy Saturday night.
A Portland classic. looked at a table in the bar and it was not too busy for a Friday night, but others that I saw coming had a hard time, a place later in the evening hour. cocktails were amazing. the bartenders know what they do and can do quite everything they want, perfect. waitresses were friendly and very attentive. always a good selection of oysters and other seafood, but the menu is on the middle to higher price range. but they get a great atmosphere, a great service and a really nice but relaxed environment. location is very easy to reach, but parking space, since somewhere in the city can be difficult if they really need to park near.
The food was good. we have the parmesan sole, crab cakes, crab and shrimp stuffed salmon and some fresh oysters. the sides were carrots and green beans with crushed carrots on the top. I can't stand nice and the greens were delicious tonight. I ate them all. such a great experience. our server board was so efficient and friendly. excellent customer service. such a cozy environment. I would definitely suggest a reservation. it was pretty busy when we left. so our reservation helped for 6pm definitiw. only on the bottom are the benches extremely difficult, out. very small and the edges are so high. I'll suggest a table if you might go.
The food is outstanding! I ordered the famous crawfish etouffee and my wife got the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon! Both dishes surpassed our expectations, I highly recommend this establishment for your seafood dining.
