There are no decorations or bright colors but full of gold department filled with the whole space. very local ethnic atmosphere, revealing the mysterious religious color, i feel i am in Thailand Service is really good. They give me water two minutes after i enter the restaurant. The first dish their chef recommended to me was Kaiyang: I think is one of the hallmarks of the restaurant. The whole chicken is cut in half and then marinated and laid on charcoal for a long time. it makes whole chicken very crispy, and with the homemade sauce, it makes the taste very unique. sweet but not greasy. The noodles are really strong and Smoked lasagna, topped with a spicy seafood gravy, it's very chewy, it's very soupy, and you have all kinds of seafood on lasagna
NO.1 Thai restaurant in Portland in my mind. Very delicious food and Serving very fast. I recommended their Ginger fish, Kaiyang and Broccoli with pork. Ginger fish very crispy, the fish very fresh. I am big fan of KaiYang. it is a grilled chicken marinated in mix herbs served with sticky rice and homemade sauce the Broccoli taste is crispy and juicy, aromatic and sweet with a lingering aftertaste. I also like their drinks like Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee. Overall is a very good Thai restaurant, i have been a lot of Thai restaurant in Portland, but i rarely review them on google review or yelp. this is the first Thai restaurant that i thought was worth reviewing, Awesome restaurant.
When they tell you it's spicy, they mean it. The only time I like to cry is into my food, and I can promise if that's also your MO you'll get that here. The wontons were deliciously crispy, and the salad rolls were perfectly stuffed. I did take out because I didn't want to change out of sweatpants, but this place is absolutely worth pants (though I'd probably keep them stretchy because you're gonna want to keep eating).
The food was good. There were a few tables open but only one server running around. It appeared understaffed. So it service was slow and I had walk to the server to order and pay after being seated outside. I will come back during another time to try something else.
I can’t believe I had never been here before! First of all their menus were beautifully designed and bound. I think their spring rolls have basil instead of mint which gave it a bit of uniqueness combined with the sweet sour sauce. I had an eggplant basil dish which was easily made vegan. I usually love eggplant but I can’t ever look at it the same again (in a good way). My friend had the masala curry and they were both amazing!
