We arrived at 3 when they opened Saturday. I believe the girls name was geneva? She was nice and friendly and welcoming as she was setting the chairs out. She assisted us for the ice cream as well. Her coworker seemed friendly too to the people infront of us. Not all the ice cream was set out yet but they informed us it is available. Location was clean.
Shocking service. Ordered off Uber eats and it took over one hour and a half and the women in charge basically said once the driver picks it up it’s out of her hands. Will never be going to this place again! Stay away from them if your wanting food in a reasonable time.
Promised my son ice cream after his field trip in Aransas Pass. Made the trip to Portland. Arrived at 2:30 pm. I see they do not open until 3 pm. We wait until 3:04 pm. Approach the door. Locked. My son, eagerly looks through the window as we stand there. He keeps updating me that there were three people. I call the number to be told they need 30 minutes to open. I explain I live 30 minutes away in Refugio. She asks if I will wait. I advise I am unable to wait. (I have another child to pick up from school). No apology for inconvenience. Just oh ok then 50 plus miles total out of my way for nothing.I will never come to this location again. I will drive right by from Refugio to go to a location in Corpus Christi. Extremely disappointed.UPDATE FOR BUSINESS RESPONSE:You absolutely did NOT apologize. It is part of my issue. It is not my responsibility to staff your establishment. I went 50 miles out of my way just to get an ice cream from your business. Regardless an apology goes a long way. Even in your response and (first time) apology on this review you are very smug.Im no ice cream expert but I do not understand why you were unable to serve a simple ice cream cone. I'm certain the ice cream was frozen. You were there over 15 minutes. It wasn't a line standing out the door. It was 2 customers. You just left standing there with no regard to open the door and give a brief explanation or allow them inside. I had to call you! You left them outside standing with zero cares for the poor customer service you provide or lack of service at all.Good luck with employees. Poor management is typically rewarded with inadequate staffing. I would imagine it is hard to have loyal employees if you treat them comparable to now ex loyal customers.If you want to share your other locations, I will gladly avoid them as well.Thank you for letting me know I am making the correct decision.
I ordered 2 banana splits 2 ice cream cups. I was told by the worker that they did not have banana split containers. I paid full price for 4 items only received 3. The manager did not make it right blamed favor. She is the owner hung up on me. Very unprofessional. She told me they were really busy didn't get shipment. Horrible communication with the owner. She did not care has no customer service whatsoever. Why are ice cream shops not held to better standards why point the finger at favor. I have banned marble slab will tell everyone I know, to ban portland marble slab!!! So disappointing!!!
