Mayrose - Portland

My husband and I are simple foodies the food was delicious, but slightly too elevated for our tastes. We had to google several of the options. My husband chose the Mayrose burger and enjoyed it. I had a couple of his fries and they were delicious all on their own, no ketchup needed. I had the pork chop and polenta. The porkchop was very good, the polenta was lumpy. Our server was attentive and friendly. We were seated in a booth the near the exterior doors, entirely too chilly during the winter storm that had rolled in.

Em and her team were fantastic. They went above and beyond to adjust our bill to include the local discount, which we didn't even request. The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Overall, we had a wonderful experience.

The food was delicious, and the oysters were incredibly fresh. The upscale dishes were expertly prepared, and I really appreciate the straightforward menu.

The Christmas Day dinner was decent but nothing exceptional. It felt quite average overall. However, I’m willing to give it another chance since the atmosphere is intriguing and the food showed promise.
