The atmosphere is fantastic, and I really enjoyed the upstairs area. The staff is incredibly friendly. Additionally, the Yule Mule we ordered is smooth and delicious!

This pub is dedicated to the Grateful Dead and is the very first McMenamins establishment! In June 2023, it celebrated its 40th anniversary—the pub that launched the successful McMenamins chain. With a lively atmosphere and intriguing decor (don’t miss the neon art), plus Kölsh on tap, who could ask for anything more? The service is attentive, and the menu features both vegan and vegetarian options, making it a delightful stop for almost any occasion. And for a bit of fun, be sure to try the Scooby Snacks. I must say, the Green Goddess salad is definitely worth your time!

Good atmosphere with a interesting history also has truffle salt to top things with. If you are a Mcmenamins fan this is a must go to spot

The slow service was largely due to staffing issues. I visited with a group of four on a Saturday night a few weeks ago, and there was only one server, Alex, and one cook, Dom, managing the entire restaurant. They both did an outstanding job and maintained a positive attitude despite having no support. I gave only one star for the atmosphere because I wouldn't want to work in such an unsupportive environment. I'm puzzled by how management allows this to happen at such a great local chain.
