In those visits is the search for authentic Cuban food just like my moms, Cuban born, from Miami. So, here goes. the black beans and rice were tasty. However, Cuban food is not served with coleslaw. My brother ordered a Cuban sandwich that was soggy it had to be returned. The atmosphere is Cuban, the staff was nice, and happily the menu did not feature Cuban Mexican food like other “Cuban” restaurants in the area.Yet, the food fell short.Another example, arroz con picadillo (a basic and simple Cuban dish), was nowhere to be found on the menu.Disappointing …. but we will keep trying to find an authentic Cuban restaurant.
The food is really good but we missed the bright colors of the old Pambiche. We also would like tostones back on the menu. The Cuban Philly cheesesteak had great Cuban flavors while being a cheese steak. The empanadas were both fresh and hot.
I was in the mood for a Cuban sandwich and stumbled across Pambiche on Google maps. The Cuban was practically perfect in every way, my wife had beef Empanadas which was also tasty. I got take out this time on my way home, but I will be back to get the full experience soon. I highly recommend this place as the food and staff were excellent.
Brought some friends to this beautiful eatery in NE Portland for brunch. They had a nice collection of drinks and coffees.Food on the menu is also great! We ordered a few different things to share and portions are generous enough to share among 4 people.Dessert must not be missed. Loved our choices especially the Cuban cigar. Will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu.
Our first trip to a Cuban restaurant and we loved it. Great to meet old friends there who were able to recommend dishes. We ate family style, sharing the dishes to enjoy the variety. We loved the Espinaca con Queso, onion, spinach cheese pie as starter to share with the garlic mushrooms. Then we shared a delicious white fish shrimp dish, Ropa Vieja, a shredded beef pepper stew, and a traditional toasted Cuban sandwich. Sadly we had no room for the tempting desserts on display. Look forward to enjoying Cuban food again. Thanks for the introduction and friendly service.
