A search on the Internet showed Queen of Sheba as one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in Portland. So, we gave it a try and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is small and somewhat dark which made reading the menu a challange. My wife and I ordered the vegetarian sampler for 2 which included a nice variety of ten mildly spicy options placed on top of injera bread on a large platter. It took a little practice using the injera bread to scoop up the food and get it into my mouth without dropping it. But,that made the experience feel much more authentic. The food had good flavor and I think next time I'll have to one of the meat dishes with the spicier berber sauce.
Exactly what I was hoping for and more. Incredibly delicious. The veggie samplier was the perfect size and all of the items are so flavorful!Food: 5/5
I have had Ethiopian in LA, Seattle, and NYC, QOS Portland is simply the best Ethiopian I have ever had! Fresh, flavorful, and healthy food. The owner Alum is an active NE community builder. Been eating there for 20 years, you won’t be disappointed.
Super authentic food been going there for years one of the Danny Glovers spots to eat at my son is 14 years old now I been going there for a very long time beautiful people and they are going through a little bit of part times in this place is one of the best spots you'll ever find for Ethiopian food because my stepfather is Ethiopian so I know wonderful place Top Notch service they even have a bar the music is authentic the food is attacking is good darn good
Delicious meals with lots of choices. Just a little confusing knowing how they configure combining items and pricing. Helps if you're a regular I guess.
