I had visited portland from the east coast, and ray was the place where I was most excited to eat and it was not disappointed! in the rule when they travel over eating many heavy bad foods, but everything here was so fresh and delicious that we all went feeling amazing! we have eaten too much, because it was so delicious, we just ordered more. service was also wonderful. everyone was so nice and attentive, made the experience even more fun. I would definitely recommend it.
As always wonderful food, carefully crafted and graciously served. We were able to try a huge range of things and enjoy one another’s company over subtle, interesting dishes. This is why we keep coming back and bringing out of town guests! Many thanks.

Chef/owner, Jenn Louis, is terrific hostess mingling with patrons and answering questions. Took a class from her on how to cook octopus just before dinner and it was fun and informative. Great overall experience.
Had a great meal with friends at Ray. The food is creative and interesting; the carrot hummus is memorable as is the cabbage. Very vegetarian friendly with attentive service!
