Road Runner Bbq - Portland

The owner of this restaurant called me and threatened my life while delivering her food. This behavior is completely unacceptable, and I will be reporting it to the police, as well as to FoPo management, all your other locations, and the construction company you rent from. It's outrageous. How is this establishment still in business?

The owner is incredibly kind, and the barbecue sauce is absolutely amazing! I had the three-meat platter and replaced the pork butt with chicken. The baked beans and mac and cheese were delicious, but unfortunately, the chicken was quite dry. However, once I doused it in BBQ sauce, it was much better! The sweet tea was just right—not too sugary like a lot of sweet teas tend to be. I would definitely return!

Roadrunner BBQ was an outstanding experience. We tried the sliced brisket plate, which I consider a true test for any serious BBQ restaurant, given how challenging that cut can be to perfect. You know the BBQ is exceptional when the sauce (which I didn't particularly enjoy) is completely unnecessary. The meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, and the smoke ring was stunning—thick and a deep burgundy red, yet not overly smoked at all. The seasoning on the meat was spot-on, though I would have appreciated a bit more bark. The beans and mac and cheese I had as sides were also quite tasty, and I highly recommend them. I’m looking forward to visiting again earlier on a weekend to try a slice of fresh brisket that hasn’t been held all day (which is standard practice, so I won’t hold that against them), sample some of their other meats, and chat with the owners. Once I do that, I might just give them a full five-star rating, which I really want to do based solely on that brisket! Great job, Roadrunner! Keep it up!

Really good place came all the way from gresham was definitely worth the drive?? really nice lady as well . I will definitely be coming back.

We got a big bbq order from Tammy for an anniversary picnic. Great ribs! Just the best. Highly recommend!
