Safari Gyro - Portland

Unfortunately, this restaurant is now permanently closed. I spoke with the owner today and he confirmed that they had to shut down for good. It's a shame because we really enjoyed this spot - they offered generous portions at affordable prices.

Unfortunately, when I went to the restaurant at 6pm on Saturday night in April 2022, it was closed. I called ahead but there was no answering machine to inform customers of their new hours. Luckily, I was able to find another gyro place nearby.

This restaurant was excellent! The food was incredibly delicious and there was so much lamb that I couldn't finish it all.

Great food, awesome hours (open past midnight) easy location.I had the Falafel Gyro....Eat here and the GOOD Karma will come to you!

So so so bad. Our fries were basically oil sponges. Not crispy. Obviously fried at way too low a temperature and dumped straight from the frying basket into the to-go container. My wife's gyro was stupidly full of semi-warm and soggy gyro meat. Think wet cat food. The pita is just store bought, not grilled or warmed up. The chicken kebab smelled off and was not fresh made. This place is a scam. Don't give them your money because they certainly don't care about giving you a quality meal. The fact that there are any good reviews at all is wild to me.
