Southpark Seafood Oyster - Portland

My favorite neighborhood restaurant for many reasons. Only a few blocks from the more famous Higgins, Southpark Seafood is quiet enough to hear my companions as we speak while we eat. And the food--the food is a marvel. My favorite has always been the halibut, whatever they do with it. This week it was better than ever.

The clam chowder was tasty, but otherwise the food was really bland. We got the seafood platter and the crab tasted completely flavorless, and poke was very under seasoned. Wish we'd gone to the Heathman instead.

Fresh and flavorful plates served by professional attentive staff. Recommend everything we tried: the poke salad, brussels sprouts and corn pasta. Super tasty and good price points. Already planning our return visit!

It was such a great experience! My wife and I ate out at SouthPark for our 10-year anniversary. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating of my gluten and dairy allergies. The host was friendly and our server was excellent at checking in, giving space, and providing great service. The food was incredible! An absolutely delicious combination of flavors. It had a nice, fancy ambiance but didn't break the bank to eat there. I highly recommend this place!

Delicious, fresh bivalves. Dank gojuchang brussels. Fantastic wines with a focus on local vineyards.
