When we walked in to take a gander at the menu lo and behold, there were fish and chips on the menu. We were trying to decide if we would sit outside but then we just took a table inside. The environment is very casual and inviting, our wait person was prompt to acknowledge us even though they were rather busy. We both ordered the fish and chips and had a beer from their great selection of local breweries on tap. Before we knew it our food had arrived and what a pleasant surprise. We both looked at each other and said I 've never seen just one large piece of fish presented before the fish was moist and flaky and the batter was something that I 've never tasted before. It had a tangy but yet slightly sweet combo that worked perfectly with cod. The fries were house cut prepared, the same with the coleslaw, which had the perfect amount of sesame seeds and fresh horseradish mixed with it. All in all a fine meal. Price points were excellent for what we received. We will definitely be going back and recommending to our friends.
We had drinks and food for lunch, it was a great experience! The food was good, quick, and reasonably priced. The drinks were strong and tasty, and also reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice, the music was good. No real complaints! They accidentally put the wrong cheese on my sandwich, but it wasn’t a big deal.
I 've been visiting Portland for work for the past 4 weeks. This is my second time at this restaurant because it was the first and only place so far that was better than meh . I still have weeks left to work and I will be returning a few more times.
Great service and excellent burgers. My husband had the Swiss and mushroom burger, and I had a more basic burger. Burgers and fries were really hood and were presented beautifully. We sat outside on the on cute picnic tables at the front of the restaurant. Our dogs were served water.
Great food that's away from the city center. My favorite dish is the braised chicken over cheesy polentaFood: 5/5
