The Wooden Chickens Pub And Take Out

I visited this restaurant while in the area specifically for a ****** Mary. There were two bartenders, one older and one younger woman. Both of them were fantastic! They were absolute gems. My ****** Mary was amazing, and the young lady was wearing the cutest grey sweater and had a very stylish look. Both of them were the best ever! Thank you both for making my visit so enjoyable. The restaurant was very clean, had a great clientele, and although I didn't have food this time, in the past when I have it has always been top-notch.

After another 20 minutes passed, my grandfather approached another waiter named Jennifer to inquire about our drinks. Jennifer then brought our drinks to the table, yelling at us and pointing out that other tables still hadn't been served. She rudely suggested that we leave if we didn't want to wait, despite the fact that we had already been waiting for 40 minutes. When questioned about our treatment, she blamed it on us asking for service twice. As someone who has worked in both food service and medical reception, I have never witnessed such disrespectful behavior towards customers. It was completely uncalled for. Jennifer clearly cannot handle the fast-paced and stressful nature of her job. I do not recommend this restaurant if you expect to be treated with respect. We ultimately left and ended up at another restaurant with a short staff, but received amazing service and were treated well. I typically do not leave negative reviews, as I understand the challenges of customer service, but this experience was unacceptable.

I have never dined inside the restaurant, but I have ordered food for delivery from the Wooden Chicken. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious their Halibut Fish and Chips were, especially coming from a bar. The prices are also very reasonable. I have heard that the atmosphere inside is great and they also offer a cruise in option. It seems like a fantastic little spot that I will have to visit soon.

My hotel this time was not far from this place and they were still open. A definite local spot, for sure, but the bartender did a good job of waiting on the tables away from the bar. I asked for his recommendation on food at the late hour and he said with a name like 'Wooden Chicken.... ' The fried chicken was one of the best I have ever had. Flavorful extremely crunchy coating and perfectly cooked juicy meat. Overall, a decent place. Three star dinning with 5 star fried chicken. I will be back.

Called after a concert to see if they had fish and chips, Andrew answered and said he would check, he did inform us that they could do it. Upon arrival we were welcomed warmly and Andrew was very friendly and quick on refills, not once did we have to wait for anything. Andrew is amazing! Great portions! Great prices! Fish and chips, fish was a hefty portion and not greasy or waterlogged at all. Tator tots were crisp and not greasy like other places I've been. If you ever come here you've also got to try the garlic cheese curds. Absolutely delicious. Andrew thank you for your kind and efficient service, you are an absolute gem of a human! Will definitely recommend and return.
