The Seafood Newberg on a Popover was excellent; I would get that every time. It was very noisy, even though about at half capacity. Because of the weather we ate inside. Probably a lot better with outside dining. Unlikely to return for dinner; too many other great places to try out.
Our first time at Boone House. They asked when making the reservation about a special occasion and yes it was our 30 year anniversary. It was never acknowledged so why ask. The food was awesome. We had the crab cakes which were so light and flavorful and I had the tequila lime shrimp linguine which was so good. Only other issue was it was so hot inside that it wasn’t comfortable at all. The wait staff were melting but still remained attentive and polite. I’m sure we will try again at some point and hopefully it will be cooler weather
The food was delicious, but inside is not updated and tired. The building is on such a tilt that not a single table stands straight. Our drinks kept sliding down the table. Our server was fantastic and accommodating to our child’s service dog (even bringing him a dog bowl of iced cold water during one of the hottest days ever! Get the calamari, lobster boil, baked lobster.
Oysters were amazing! We had fun trying different kinds of oysters!
Absolutely excellent terrific food (a bit pricey) great drinks and beautiful outdoor seating space.
