The Whole Bowl - Portland

When I was eating Yes Please in Vancouver, the owner of The Whole Bowl, who was right above the street, told me. So of course I had to try. I had learned that it was a grave and somehow go so that I took my own reusable bowl and cutlery with me. The employee was very friendly, and informative and accepted the use of my bowl. The employee was also vegan and told me that for the vegan version they do not add sour cream or cheese, but add extra avocado. All right for me. The price was $8 and filled a good price for what was served. The kitchen was simple as it was just one item her bowl. I like that they use brown rice in their shells instead of the usual white rice. I was surprised by the olives that have never seen olives in a rice dish, but it worked. They have their formula a simple piece of food. Easy to prepare and serve for them, and it made it an interesting operation. I see too many restaurants offer too many articles on their menu. The whole bowl shows that if you do what you are good and the savings of striped equipment and ingredients you need on the price on the menu that it works for customers and owners (they have several outlets in Oregon, so it has to work for the owners as well. As with several other places that offer bowls, it is all about the sauce they use, and the sauce here was good. Overall, the meal was pretty good and very good for $8. Strange how money affects the appreciation of the meal. Good balance of carbohydrates, fats and proteins and thus a complete meal. They don't offer interior seats, but there was a table and chairs on the walkway and I ate my meal out there (it wasn't raining!) It would be great if it was food like these people who bring their own containers, because we only create garbage with all these containers. When I had a café, we offered 50 cents when people brought their own containers/plates. Win for everyone and the planet.

Super cheap and fills healthy bowls, was there forever. I like they only use one article. The Tali sauce is bomb. They give you extra avocado when you order the shell vegan.

Best $6 meal in pdx... I've been valued for over ten years on their healthy food dishes... the special sauce is oh la la!
