Mashed potatoes was also amazing. I got really impressed how good the food was. I think it would be nice to have one extra staff at Friday lunchtime cause it tends to get more busy with all 3 areas to take care of.
Service poor. Food hit and miss. Newly covered seating which is nice...otherwise the same.
Discrimination due to our age. My friends and I had a booked a table here for my 21st birthday a small group of 6 for 9.15 which might I add is hard to get during this pandemic. As we entered through the door we overheard the lady at reception desk notice us and asked another employee who was heading into the bar to stay and deal with us. This man then approached us and said “what do you want lads” in the most unwelcoming and rude manner showing they did not want us anywhere near the place. I said I made a booking earlier in the day for 9.15 to which the man said it did not exist. Didn’t offer any solution did not apologise and said they don’t take bookings after 8.30. Even though this man thought he was so clever as we were arriving we saw an older couple who arrived seconds before us enter into the bar. We were discriminated against based on our age and this is totally unacceptable. Would not reccomend to anyone due to the level of rudeness and blatant age discrimination. Sham of an establishment.
Had the fish and chips and finished it all cooked lovely batter homemade top notch grub
As my title suggests, we enjoyed a really nice Sunday carvery lunch in The Oasis. The service was very prompt snd friendly, the decor was bright and spacious and the place was clean as a whistle. Most importantly the food was excellent snd the portions generous. There was cod which I had, ratatouille, pork, chicken and beef options. Very decent pricewise too in fairness.
