Horrible service. We came with our kids and ordered the pasta with tomato sauce. This took 1:45 minutes. The manger came and said she is sorry. This is after three different people came and told us it’s on the way. Come for a drink (even this gets messed up) but it’s only option at the hotel. Horrible experience. We will not be back for sure. Avoid if possible

Excellent location, charming interior despite the faux bookshelves and books and terrible food. The Gnocchi was cold, rubbery and bereft of any flavor. The description had mentioned truffle and mushroom but could not taste anything. I had to return it after two bites. The toasted egg and cheese sandwich was cold and not toasted. We brought this to the attention of the server and Maître d’ but they were either too busy or just did not care. We paid and left.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in Porto during last trip. The hotel is right at the historical city center. The bar inside is on the ground floor with a view looking outside with a great view. However inside the bar is quiet and allow you to rest and have a drink. Reasonable price for tea and coffee.

This is the hotel bar. It serves excellant wine and coffee for my wife. Safe and cozy where you could hear the person speaking to you

While staying at the hotel we stopped by on three evenings for a nightcap of the wonderful tawny port. We were always offered biscuits and nibbles which was very nice. Elegant, comfortable room with the added delight of a trio of musicians on one occasion. Bartender was very friendly and happy to talk about the port.
