They have a good selection of meat and fish, cooked to order (and you can see them do it) and they have their fish on display. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The food was perfectly cooked. I recommend the fried cod cakes they are really made of cod and not mainly potatoes as you find in so many places. They don't serve wine by the glass, but have a good wine selection. Price range for main dish: 5 10€ Price range for starters: 1 8€ What I see as a drawback for some visitors is that there's no outside seating and customers are (legally) allowed to smoke inside.
If you like Mediterranean food, like I do, Oporto is definitely your place. If you are looking for a casual place to have seafood near the beach at a great value: Tentações à mesa is the place. I've already tried douradinha 7.5 euros and salmon 9 euros with batatas ao murro (hit potatoes) and green salad. Very light and healthy food. To compensate the extra calories well saved at the main course, try Meloa with chocolate mousse and chantilly Cream. Fresh for the summer days. Service is very good. The place is just across the street from the beach (behind the buildings). Coffee is free. Don't miss the green wine: typical of the region. And Água das Pedras local sparkling mineral water. Very good for digestion. The place is open for lunch from 12 pm to 3 pm. For dinner it opens at 7pm.
Very good!! I loved it, a cozy restaurant, with typical and very tasty food. Best flood octopus I've ever eaten in 5 months in Portugal!
