Applebee's Grill - Portsmouth

Had the shrimp, became ill, looks like somebody else did 3 days ago as well and brought it to managements attention yet more customers are becoming sick

The service was great. Don't recall who waited on me and my guest, but she was great. The food was ok, and I got fried shrimp, but shortly after getting home, I started to feel a bit ill. Without eating anything after my meal at Applebee's, Sunday night ended up in the bathroom sick and the same most of Monday. Knowing that it had been what I ate, I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. He was not helpful at all. He told me that because I didn't go to the hospital, there was nothing that he could do. He could apologize and offer me a free meal, but no nothing. I'm not happy and won't be going back to the Portsmouth location for sure.

The food was OK. The place was cold and had to move twice to get away from the vents.

I travel a lot so I don 't always have time to visit this Applebee 's. I like how this one has more elbow room around the bar ?. There are multiple flat screens showing different games.Service was good! My bartender /server, a young woman whose name starts with M was friendly and helpful. I don 't want to mention her name ? in case she ends up with unwanted friends on her social media accounts. Can you imagine (dragons) Rachel or Ross pestering you about everything?!Anywho, I have tried the Honey ? BBQ and Sweet Asian Chili ?️ boneless wings. 50¢, how can you go wrong when they taste good. The Fiesta Lime Chicken was also good, for franchise food.I have ordered through the app for car side to go. The transaction and delivery went well.Free ? refill on my iced tea.The carpeted floor felt good to my tired feet. The bathroom was in good condition.I am recommending this Applebee 's.Vegetarian options: Impossible Burger ? available. You can ask for it without cheese. I 'm not sure if it would qualify as vegetarian since it is prepared next to meat.House ? salad ? available. You could request no chicken for the Strawberry ? Balsamic Salad.Dietary restrictions: The menu I looked at has markings for gluten free. There is a warning on the website that ingredients can conflict with allergies and conditions. The website recommends that you check the app for more information .Parking: The Applebee 's building has its own parking ?️ lot. There are spaces for curbside pickup .Kid-friendliness: Families are welcomed.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.

Like so many other chain restaurants, everything offered here is the same as elsewhere. The differences lie in the service.We arrived here late (for us) after a very busy day of travel and Easter services in a far-off place. We were tired, hungry, and still had another hour and a half before we were home. Every place else was closed.We were welcomed right away and served by a warm and friendly staff, sat at a table in the quieter side of the room, and were served comforting food before we left to complete our journey.This Appleby's, in Portsmouth, NH, was exactly what we needed when we needed it and we left full of gratitude for the experience
