Liars Bench Beer Co - Portsmouth

This is a charming, well-established brewery featuring both a lovely outdoor space and a cozy indoor area. They are dog-friendly in the outdoor section. The beers I tried were incredibly refreshing. I ordered a falafel wrap, while my wife chose the hummus and pita—funny that we both gravitated towards the Middle Eastern options on the menu! It's a bit of a trek from the waterfront (about 20 minutes), but the walk is pleasant and definitely worthwhile!

The food was excellent, and there was a great variety to choose from. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the outdoor patio is lovely.

This is one of my favorite breweries to visit! They consistently offer a lovely selection of beers on tap, and the food is outstanding. I really appreciate the numerous vegetarian options available. The service is quick, friendly, and attentive. It's a fantastic spot to check out if you're in the Portsmouth area.

I've changed my rating to a 5-star! I've been visiting this brewery since the week it opened, and I'm loving it more with each visit. It's a genuine community spot, always bustling with people whenever I'm there. The beer is outstanding, and the 'bar food' is surprisingly delightful. I can't wait to keep coming back. Just a heads up: when it gets busy, parking can be a challenge. It's about a 10-minute walk from downtown if you're up for it!

This place is located just off the road and it’s easy to miss if you’re not paying attention (it’s next to Washburn Plumbing). Once you step inside, you’re greeted by a loft-style, open-ceiling brewery vibe with large tables and benches for seating. They also have board games and a complimentary foosball table! As for the beer selection, there’s a decent variety (I personally enjoyed the Saison the most). However, the Aunt Mary (Belgian Barrel-aged Quad, 10.5% ABV) is a rotating brew that’s definitely worth the wait when it comes back. It’s a shame the Belgian brew isn’t available year-round!
