Luigi’s West End Pizzeria

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant! The pizza I received seemed to be made with little care, almost as if it was neglected. I wouldn’t even give it to a stray dog, let alone eat it myself. To make matters worse, they managed to burn both the chicken Parmesan and the bread. Well done, Kyle. I expected that being open for just four hours would mean the food would be of good quality, but it’s clear that the problem lies with a lack of work ethic. If I could give zero stars, I would, but that's not an option. I strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs!

As for the meatballs, they were quite firm and a bit on the dry side for my taste, and I wasn't a fan of the seasoning, which had an almost smoky flavor. I would give them a 6/10, while she rated them 8/10. The pizza was above average in my opinion, earning an 8/10 from me. My girlfriend, however, thought it deserved a 6/10. She wished the cup-and-char pepperonis were a bit crispier. We both agreed that the crust was fantastic, though. The service was a bit hit or miss. The food came out quickly and was hot and fresh, but there were a few minor issues that prevented it from being perfect. However, everyone was very polite and friendly, so I like to think that those little hiccups were just a one-off. Overall, I would definitely return—just make sure to try the fried mozzarella!

The first thing that stood out was the size of the pizzas! You definitely get your money's worth! They were absolutely delicious – the sauce was perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. I love their crust and dough; even the dough had a satisfying, savory flavor. We also ordered a large pizza to take home, and it was enormous! When we got home, one slice covered a 9-inch dinner plate! All this for just $21! I highly recommend Luigi’s. It’s a fantastic family-friendly place with amazing food, and they even offer outdoor seating, which is perfect for summer.

Being originally from New York, this is by far one of the best NY pizzas I've had away from NY. The salads my friend and I had to start were outstanding as well. If you are just two people, the small pizza is a perfect size! We had the pepporoni pizza with a few extra toppings and asked for it extra well done and it came out perfectly, not floppy at all like other places always seem to give me! We ate our entire pizza and it was worth every penny! I was also impressed with the delivery driver who seemed quite dedicated to his job and in between was cleaning off tables outside, keeping the place looking really tidy! And the staff inside was very friendly as well! Bottom line, if you are looking for incredible NY pizza, go here!

Best pizza in Portsmouth! The large is huuuuge and the toppings are high quality.
