Love it! The food was amazing, especially the ginger scallion shrimp burger. The staff were super friendly and they took care of everything that we needed. We also came with our service dog and we didn’t have any problems. I would recommend making a reservation, if not you just can walk right in.
Title: A Lobster Letdown at Surf PortsmouthAs a seafood enthusiast, I eagerly ventured to Surf Portsmouth with high hopes of indulging in the ocean’s bounty. Alas, my experience left much to be desired, particularly when it came to their lobster offerings. The Culinary Misstep:Rubbery Lobster: The lobster dish I ordered arrived at the table with all the tenderness of a rubber boot sole. It was as if the crustacean had endured an Olympic-level workout before gracing my plate. The texture was downright disappointing—more akin to a chew toy than a delicacy.Overcooked Nightmare: The perfect lobster should be tender, succulent, and melt-in-your-mouth. Unfortunately, Surf Portsmouth’s rendition missed the mark entirely. The internal temperature screamed “overcooked,” clocking in well beyond the optimal 145°F1. It’s a culinary tragedy when a majestic lobster meets such an unfortunate fate.Ambiance and Service:Views and Vibes: Yes, the restaurant boasts waterfront views, but even the most picturesque panorama couldn’t salvage my lobster experience. The ambiance was pleasant, but alas, the lobster remained the star of the show.Service: The staff was friendly, but their efforts couldn’t rescue the crustacean catastrophe. Perhaps they, too, felt the lobster’s pain.Final Verdict:Surf Portsmouth, you had one job: to deliver a lobster worth savoring. Instead, I left with a rubbery memory etched into my taste buds. For those seeking lobster perfection, I recommend casting your net elsewhere. The sea is vast, and surely there’s a tender, butter-drenched lobster waiting to steal your heart elsewhere.
We were looking for a sushi place on the coast. Google tells us to go here. I've had better sushi from Marker Basket. Was it terrible?..... not the worst ive had.Could it be better for $20 a roll? Absolutely.Service was good.
Wow! So so yum!!! And our bartender was amazing (the guy with the good hair…I forget his name). GREAT experience!!! ?
