The Press Room is a hidden gem and the best authentic pub in the region. It's not a generic corporate pub trying to mimic an Irish theme park. The Press Room has been hosting live music every night for forty years, featuring outstanding performances. Grab a pint, enjoy delicious food, and immerse yourself in the true New Hampshire culture surrounded by knowledgeable locals.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot to enjoy live music. It is one of the few places in Portsmouth where you can catch a show on Sunday nights. The best part is that you can bring your kids who are under 21 years old with you, allowing them to experience the jazz bands upstairs. The cover charge is reasonable and the food is surprisingly delicious for a bar. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The only recommendation I have is to improve the lighting during music events as it can be a little too dim.

Portsmouth's best kept secret. The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were amazing, and the music selection was on point.

Love this place! I don't get down there much except for the winter, but The Press Room is a must visit every time I go through Portsmouth. Great beers, perfect atmosphere, and really good food. The bartenders are incredible as well. Can't wait to go back! Tim
