Red Lion - Portsmouth

We had a two-night stay last week . The rooms had been recently refurbished, and had plenty of plug/USB points. The bed was firm and comfortable and the bathroom, although quite small, had an excellent powerful shower. Overall we were happy with the standard of the room. In particular we would like to give a mention to Michael the pub manager. On arrival he made us feel very welcome , ensured that the car was properly registered for parking and explained and showed us around and gave us plenty of general helpful information. He is doing a good job there and deserves recognition, as do his staff.

1st visit Very friendly welcoming staff. Food is lovely. Lovely clean rooms. 2nd visit. Fab location for me personally as my husband was in hospital the hotel was a 10 min walk away. Foods fantastic, great value for money the staff are amazing

Only only spent one night here but we cannot fault this hotel. Plenty of parking. Nice big rooms. Everything was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. I am sure we will come again.

Really nice. Pub. Busy great atmosphere. Bus stop outside. If ya need bus home. Perfect

Food and service was great only criticism had to ask for a state knife
