Rock Salt - Portsmouth

Worst per delivery time of any takeaway I've ever had. It would be faster to buy your own restaurant and cook the food yourself.

Very friendly service, we have a good chat whenever I am. this is with excellent food, seriously the best I found in pompey for fish and chips. the fish is always lacking with beautiful crunchy teig and the chips that the tenderness that I have grown is used down here. this chip would be successful in north yorkshire and this is a high praise.

Wow! Popped into this place tonight at the off chance after the love back for fish and chips by Rick Stein's excellent chip shop in Cornwall. (also highly recommended) These guys know what they're doing. I was bored by these limp sweaty chips that the majority of Portsmouth chip shops have served for the last few years and it looks like this has come to an end, now rock salt has arrived in the city. The chips here are golden brown and perfectly well made, and the portion sizes make it a great value for money, service and quality was comparable to Rick Steins in Cornwall and that really says something. Beautiful clean neat business aswell, with table seats inside (although I did not benefit from it) Very recommended, keep the great work!

I love eating here and pete is a great guy! he is always on the ball and is always very friendly for all his loyal customers. the service and the quality of eating here is the second to none! I wouldn't have thought to recommend it. Nowhere else would I rather go fish and eat chips. if they haven't checked out this place, please do one like and try their kitchen! they won't be disappointed!

Fantastic.. about time we have a decent fish N chips shop in North End.. The best fish I had in a long time.... Thank you guys
