Amazing spot for lunch! We found them a few months ago on a trip and made sure to stop by today when we were passing by around lunch time. Great food at affordable prices and the staff is always so kind!
When we tried to go for lunch the inside was closed and you could only order at the counter and eat outside. It was 40 degrees so we went somewhere else. Might try again next time we are in town.
Was in downtown Cumberland for boo on the bricks and we decided to eat there . And it was my first time needless to say I was very disappointed the food was horrible and the soda tasted t like plastic . And sat and watched as they guy that was making the food came outside of the store with his apron and his plastic gloves on and was touching all over people he was standing talking to. And the really horrible part was he went back inside and started make food and touching people food and top of their cups with those same gloves . I will never eat there again unsanitary and food sucks.
Well, when you google chili dogs in an area and the results bring back a spot like Curtis Famous, as in been doing it for over 100 years, you have to make sure to get by this kind of a spot. They did not disappoint. First of all, they still know how to cook french fries properly! This doesn 't sound like that big of a deal, but when you move as much as I do and eat as many fries, it is good to be reminded why you love them in the first place. Excellent! On to the dogs... Blown away. It is very simple. Steamed bun, a shot of yellow mustard, chili Sauce (ladled on with a confectionary spoon) and a dash of raw onion. Less is definitely more because these dogs are awesome. The sauce is the super-star, but the mustard and onion are a great set of back-up singers. All together with a dog and a soft bun and you 've got a sweet song. Finally, we had vanilla cokes. Perfection ! I had 2, but I think my sweet spot will be right around 3. The cheeseburgers are on my list to try before leaving the area. The owner was a great guy and you can tell that his community loves him and his establishment. Well Done!
