Waschbar - Potsdam

We ordered a cheeseburger, a chicken burger and potato wedges. It took a long time and the cheeseburger was lukewarm whereas the chicken burger was completely cold. When I spoke to the waiters, they made another burger for me but again it was completely cold...(and burned at the same time). Clearly the food is pre-cooked and was not heated properly. The wedges were soggy. Also, no one was using their washing machine. A let-down on all fronts.

This is one of the greatest bars in Europe. Lazy atmosphere, crazy psychedelic stuff on the walls, good beer, tasty foods, great music. I drop in every time I'm in Postdam. You can really relax in here!

I was drawn in by the unusualness of the aliens on the roof of Waschbar, I also noticed a KunstAutomat machine outside which dispenses a small cigarette box with local, regional or international artwork for This was good for my friend who has quit...smoking but still misses it. There is good outside seating and good indoor seating. It is quite dimly lit but had a great vibe to it. They serve a variety of food which I did not try as we went for drinks. Drinks are reasonably priced and they serve a great German cola called FritzCola which tastes better than coca-cola in my opinion! The inside décor is a sort of Mexican/Spanish fusion with appreciation for Elvis. There are board games to play such as chess and scrabble which you can take to your table. The fact that this place is also a laundrette adds to the kookiness of it. It makes the side of the bar with the washing machines smell great and there's also a book selection. Overall, a lovely little place which is a must visit if you are in Berlin/Potsdam. The tram stops right outside as well!

We dropped in tot this place after visiting sanssoucci park. The design and interior looks very alternative and nice, there is also a laundry inside. Unfortunately the food was of very poor quality, we ordered veggie en regular burgers, baked potato, nacho cheese...and potato wedges. The menu stated that sometimes it could take a litte longer to serve the food because everything was prepared fresh in their own kitchen. It took an hour! And it was nor fresh or homemade in their own kitchen. The tomato side salad of the burger was at least day old, the buns were from a factory, the guacamole and sauces from a supermarket, the cheese was the kind that comes wrapped in plastic by the slice. It wasn't expensive , we paid euro incl drinks, but it was a never again experience. The fact that they lie their food is made fresh in their own kitchen is a insult to their customers and to those cooks that actually do know how to cook and have an honest business! Stay away.

We visited Potsdam for a quick trip and came by this strange looking place with a spaceship on the roof. We walked inside and it was an active washing salon, where people did actually do their laundry. On the other side was a cafe/ snack/...chill place We had a few coffees which where well prepared and tasty. The atmosphere was relaxing and different. The staff was friendly. It's a nice and different place to go
