Many perfect choices on the menu and the quality of every item is equal to the best trendiest restaurants. The room is cool in a nice updated historic building . The prices are so low they undermine the quality of the food . There are many great reviews here but the average is terrible which does not make sense . Our group are well travelled and well dined .THIS NEW ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY IS A WINNER!!!
Very friendly staff, nice wine list and reasonable menu. Note that the menu on their website is not up to date. Parking in Pott's Point can be a bit of a nightmare. We arrived at 6 so it was not overcrowded. However by the time we left, the concrete floor was not absorbing much noise. Not a big issue, though. It was a pleasant evening.
As always, the crew at abc know what they are doing! The food is tasty and fresh with a wide range of choices for every palatte. The style is mediteranean and is consistently good. The service is friendly and efficient. The interior is spacious and simple. Whatever you choose, don't forget to try the shredded cabbage salad!!
We were surprised to find the place so empty on a Sunday lunch. But that was a boon as it would have been quite noisy if there had been more people all hard surfaces hardly compensated by the soundproofing material on the ceiling. And to add to this problem, the music was quite loud and of a rock style which did not seem appropriate. We chose the set menu of 2 dishes and a glass of wine which seemed good value. The dishes were flavoursome and well presented. Sadly, the service was not particularly attentive on a quiet day so one wonders how we would have fared at a busy time.
Three of us were at ABC restaurant for dinner courtesy of a gift voucher auctioned at a charity donation. I was real pleased the voucher was honoured even though it was for different restaurant previously run by the owner. This was real decent of her and reflects her willingness to give back to the community. We begun with fried zucchini flower and pumpkin fries. We then had three lovely mains. My ftwo companions enjoyed a beef tagliata with a side of mushrooms and a grilled salmon dish. I found my roasted pork belly well done with good crispy skin. All this was topped with us sharing vanilla ice cream and a light yet tasty slice of New York cheesecake. The atmosphere is noisy, especially for a busy night, but this is the nature of the restaurant. I look forward to going back another time, especially to a restaurant that supports the community.
