Chan's Peking - Poughkeepsie

I revisited Chan's Peking. I ordered the same dish. I found Chan's Peking to be a terrific place to eat. It remains my favorite in the area.

I have been there multiple times as this was our let 's go get lunch place after martial arts practice. It is a very nice, Chinese-American take out or sit down and have a meal place, a notch or two above most Chinese American low price restaurants. I have never had a complaint and would very willingly go there again. Staff has always been professional and polite. I even bought the t-shirt. (Why not 5 stars? No real reason. I tend to save those for truly authentic Chinese restaurants. Of course, they aren 't trying to be an authentic Chinese restaurant. They are trying to provide reasonably priced meals for students and others in the area and succeed admirably.

I could overlook that but I happened to see them use MSG and use unwashed broccoli STRAIGHT from a produce box. If you don't wash produce your definitely not cleaning your meat. Will never go back, I like clean food. Never had a problem before. They NEVER give forks and napkin even when you ask!!

Excellent considering the price. Food was hot, tasty, and the portions were perfect. Consider 1 combination platter as being good for one person (even if you plan to share food, unless someone is really not very hungry). Counter service was upbeat and helpful and delivers food to the table. Service: Dine in

Pretty good American Chinese joint, I get the sliced chicken in garlic sauce and my kid gets the broccoli with garlic sauce and everyone has a good time
