We found this place three years ago and still can't get over how good it was. Popped lotus seeds, cinnamon honey, gouda cheese(?! and delicious breakfasts served in a humble place with an exceptionally lovely owner/chef who took the time to come and have a chat every time we visited. He even loaned us a few books. Our only regret is that we are only just posting this review now! If you in Pushkar, or are planning to be any time soon, don't miss out on this gem of a place.
The food served here is different from a normal Indian restaurant, so don't expect chickpeas and lentils. The presentation of the food is great and the flavors excellent. The only downside is that the service is a little slow as everything is cooked fresh.
I had seen a review of this eatery prior to leaving home and how fabulous when arriving into Pushkar did we drive past it. For vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or people who enjoy quality and exceptionally good fresh food, this is the place. My mouth exploded with all the taste sensations that came from my choice. A lovely welcome change from Indian food. Seating is limited to 12 persons but certainly well worth the wait if you need to, we didn’t have to. The host/chef is western trained and cooks the meals himself. I didn’t have room so the owner prepared a mango and almond lassi for me to take back to the hotel and I would return the glass when I went past on my way out exploring. It also did not disappoint. The sensational fresh food and extremely reasonable prices. 5 stars
The food here is really good, the homemade bread and jam is especially nice. The range of teas was also amazing. The owner is very friendly and the service was very good
