Absolutely fantastic seafood and perfect host. I went for lunch today at this restaurant and was so happy with the quality of food and the service. I had fish soup followed by the most delicious ‘fruits de mer’ and it was super. The perfect selection of shell fish prawns, shrimp, mussels, clams and loads of crab in different styles. Will certainly be a return customer.

Don 't let the cafeteria appearance or the location of this restaurant fool you. It is excellent and fresh seafood. Your choices are limited, but it 's best to just let the owner bring you the platter for the night. He ' 'll proud of it and you 'll find it delicious.

Lota Bar is situated in the small port. It is more of a casual cafe type place than a bar. We could see it was popular with local fishermen. We were not surprised. We were looking for a place to eat at around 4pm. My partner had fish soup first. He said it was delicious. Then we had the seafood platter. It had dressed crab, prawns, mussels, crayfish and clams(clams served in a bowl with a wine based sauce). What a find €40.
