My friend had a seafood soup (which looked really good, but I can't remember the name - it is on the menu as a daily item). I can't say it was the best meal I have ever eaten for the price, it was just....OK? Neat little touch with the jellied candy frog instead of a chocolate with your bill. Server was again just....OK. Would I go back? For the money I think I would try something new, but if someone else wanted to go that I was travelling with I would not say no. Not my most helpful review to date I know, but I can't find anything to rave one way or another about other than the view!
Definitely recommend. They have a shirt menu, which is as it should be. They use seasonal ingredients and concentrate on doing a couple dozen things really well with them. We had the crab cakes, mussels and beef short rib - all of which were very good and priced appropriately. We had been told the bisque was really good but we could only order so many things! There's a nice view of the sea and mountains, and more by luck than design we watched a glorious sunset over dessert. Deffo look up sunset times before you go!
Having read some reviews below I feel that this Bistro must have changed. We had a good choice of seating outside in sun or shade, or inside. The menu was interesting and had good choices. Food fresh and tasty. The service was excellent.
The restaurant has recently reopened with a new chef who is highly committed to using locally-sourced ingredients.
Outstanding in every way, this is the go-to spot for dining. With a varied menu featuring top-quality fresh ingredients expertly prepared, and served by a friendly and well-informed waitress.
