Cafe Chameleon - Powys

I had a nice lunch with a friend at this restaurant. When we walked in, the wood burner was already lit, creating a cosy and bustling atmosphere. The food was well presented and delicious. I would definitely visit again.

We have been frequenting this restaurant for years since we live nearby and have always enjoyed the meals and felt like we were getting good value for our money. However, recently, we have noticed that the meals have become uninspired and not worth the price. We recently went for a Valentine's Day meal and found it to be overpriced and not very enjoyable. It's disappointing because it's a beautiful venue to visit. I know that it's impossible to please everyone all the time, but I am generally easy to please and this experience was not up to par.

I met up with a friend for an early lunch at this restaurant. It was busy when we arrived, and it took an hour and a half for our soup and ciabatta to be served. I have visited this restaurant many times over the years, but I was very disappointed this time. The restaurant was very cold, with the majority of customers wearing their coats. I found this unacceptable, especially considering the prices of the food and the fact that the restaurant was crowded. The female restroom was dirty, with black dust covering the surfaces and no soap available. I believe this is also unacceptable. The presence of a wood burner could greatly improve the atmosphere of the cafe and make it more welcoming and cozy, rather than just decorative.

Amazing! Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. I was really hankering for a specific meal and they accommodated us even though it wasn't on the menu, and the portions were massive! Tasted great, so will definitely be coming back. Diolch yn fawr!
