A decent salad bar, good selection of bottle and can beers, and food that made everyone happy. My fish was good (but not quite great) and everyone who had the prime rib loved it. Sweet.potato fries and tater tots cooked to perfection. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Salad Bar

Omg the FISH! Go for a Friday Fish Fry and get the broiled fish. It's mouth watering. I even had extra there was so much food, I took home left overs. Reheated was just as good as they served it. I will say the old fashioned pre mix they served up was not good, go for a beer instead! BUT definitely will be going back! We were told the wait time would be 45 mn but we were seated 90 mn later. Every chair at our table was covered in grease stains, the table cloth, menus and salt shaker were so greasy it was hard to hang on to and the carpet was absolutely filthy. I thought there was a minimum hygiene standard in WI for restaurants but apparently this one is exempt. We figured the food would be the redeeming quality of this filthy place and this was going to be all worth it when the food arrived, NOT!! fish was overcooked, dry and had no flavor, baked potato was greyish and dried up like it sat under warm lamps all day. Beans tasted like cheap canned beans and were barely lukewarm. Coleslaw was ok but too sweet. And finally the price ... made the whole visit a mistake. $18.95 for 1 piece of Walleye and $17.95 for dried up Blue Gill. The only redeeming quality was the waiter who was quick and friendly. We used to go every week. We hadn't been there for about a year. The prices have gone up a lot, and food quality has gone down. We all ordered fish, and we are supposed to get individual servings of beans and coleslaw they brought out small bowls half full for the whole table yet charge if you ask for extra. This used to be the best in Dane and Columbia County area. Fish was okay, not as good as it used to be. My bacon potato with cheese was overcooked, and I had to take off the toppings because they were so hard. No sour cream or butter had to ask for it and then was charged for it. You would think it would have been included. It used to be. The ranch mashed potato used to be their specialty, and they were very dry and not ranch flavored that well.
