Chaddar's - Prague

I absolutely adore the cozy atmosphere of this small-town diner! The chunky chicken is outstanding! The staff is fantastic and the service is excellent!

It seems that when the menu says "burger with homemade fries," it doesn’t actually include the fries in the price. If I had known the fries were extra, I wouldn't have ordered them. Paying $33 for three burgers and a small piece of chicken for a 17-month-old who is allergic to milk and has limited options on the menu feels excessive. Now I understand why the parking lot was empty at 6:30. You've just lost two customers.

What I loved most about this restaurant is that they kept the previous owners' recipes and food suppliers, allowing them to serve some of the beloved dishes that have been around for 20 years. Items like Grilled Chicken, Chunk Chicken, Okie Chips, Hamburger Steak, Curly Fries, and Fried Mushrooms are just a few of the staples you can still enjoy. They also did a great job cleaning up the place—both the seating area and restrooms are spotless, and it's clear they prioritize a clean kitchen, which is so important. I really enjoy the burger basket with homemade fries. Finally, it's great to see that Chadders supports Prague and its local community. God bless!

We discovered Chadders on Yelp and decided to try it for a late lunch one Sunday afternoon, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is situated in an old gas station on Main Street, giving it a fun and casual vibe. Even though there was a large party occupying three other tables, our server was attentive, and our food arrived promptly. I ordered the catfish basket, which came with homemade hush puppies, tartar sauce, and hand-cut French fries. It was some of the best catfish I've ever tasted—light, flaky, and not greasy or overly breaded. My husband followed our server's recommendation and got the chicken chunk basket. It was fantastic! The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and I can't even begin to describe how amazing the soft rolls that accompanied both meals were. Totally worth the 20-minute drive! We will definitely be back.
