Wollersheim Winery Distillery

The winery is beautiful and continues to grow with an ever expanding selection wines and liquors at the distillery. The wine that we were able to taste is still wonderful. The selection of Brandy, Rye, and Absinthe were excellent. Unfortunately they were not doing tours or showing their video of the history of the winery. My wife and I had been there many times but we brought a friend who had never been there before. After all we told her about the winery she had expected a little more. She did leave a little disappointed.

Went on Friday in February Smaller crowd. Took the tour, our guide was very good and personable. Ate at their Bistro, was also very good. A soup and sandwich menu with options for wine and spirits. Also stopped by their distillery for a mixed drink. All in all was a great road trip

This place is amazing! The food at the Bistro and the wine are not that expensive either! The parking spot is a little walk to the Bistro and Winery so you would need flats to walk on, specially if you are used to wearing high heels like me. When you order your food at the Bistro, they let you choose where to sit; we chose to sit outside by the hobbit house looking cave where they used to store wine back in the old days. If you decide to come here, your experience will be worth it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant. The wine was excellent, and the ambiance was stunning. It was my first visit, and I had heard many good things about the place. They're open daily from noon to 5 PM. I also discovered some great gift ideas, including an Old Fashioned kit and a variety of wine and brandy selections. I will definitely be returning!

We’ve been visiting Wollersheim for many years, and now that we’re back in town, we decided to stop by again. As always, the scenery is stunning! We started at the distillery and tried an old-fashioned cocktail and an apple cream drink. Both were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. After that, we went over to the winery, where we grabbed a bottle of Prairie Fume and headed to the bistro for some snacks. We noticed they had a brandy old-fashioned cookie, so we couldn’t resist trying it since it’s our favorite drink. This cookie truly captures the flavor of an old-fashioned with every bite and is incredibly soft. We enjoyed it so much that we returned just five minutes before closing to buy up all the remaining cookies. We shared them with our family, and now they keep asking us to get more!
