Contribuisci feedbackLast Friday, my wife and I went, and even though it was busy, we managed to snag two seats at the bar—a great decision, as the staff is enjoyable to chat with. We ordered the boiled crawfish, and they were the best I've had since moving here from down the bayou five years ago. The prices are very reasonable compared to other places in Baton Rouge. I've known the owner, Bird Simoneaux, for many years, and he's a true class act—extremely kind. I'm really glad to see him doing well!
We were a group of four, and I ordered the catfish Lafitte. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with it. I found myself having to add seasoning to bring out some flavor. One friend ordered the double combo, which included fish and oysters, and she also found it bland. However, one of the ladies had the charbroiled shrimp and said it was seasoned very well, while the other enjoyed the boiled shrimp salad with pepper jelly vinaigrette and thought it was really good.
One of my new favorite spots! The food and service are exceptional.
Smart waitresses who made an effort to keep me safe because I was wearing a mask. Quick preparation of 8 meals with no advance notice. Would return again. Thank you from the crew of House Hunters
