My family took me here for a birthday dinner. The service is exceptional and the food is great. It was a Saturday night and it wasn't overcrowded so that was great. We even took pictures by the fireplace. People thought we were at someone's house.
We had the fried green tomatoes, seasoning and sauce were good, tomatoes were a little watery..but all over good. Then we split the fish tacos, fresh fish, good toppings. Needs a tad more seasoning..but would definitely order again. The chicken fried steak was really good with mash potatoes and we got street corn. Street corn wasn't my favorite. Our waitress Whitney was great and fast and attentive. Tables were not crowded together which is nice..will definitely visit again.
How surprisingly good. Ate at the Oak Tavern for the first time tonight with my wife for Valentines day. It was a Buffet and I was, of course curious what they were going to offer, the menu was outstanding. They had prime rib, bacon wrapped salmon, chicken, mashed potatoes, asparagus, fine cheeses and chocolate covered strawberries. The service was outstanding and the Chef’s were amazing and proud of their food. You name it they had it, and it exceptional. Our server Elizabeth made our night memorable. Thank you
The food has a unique southern flair. We weren't staying at the hotel and made a special trip for the conecuh quesadillas. They are so good. Usually the view is amazing as you look out over a RTJ golf course, but they are doing a little renovating right now. Still beautiful though.
