Food was very good...and..the servers are super kick butt...just nice

I had lunch here yesterday with two girlfriends. We are all locals who have eaten here many times. Yesterday, there was just one server who was bartending, waiting on all the tables, and being the cashier. Not sure why they were so understaffed. It took over an hour to get our food and when it arrived it was cold and soggy. The server did not come back to us until it was time to give us checks and at that time I quietly told her the food was cold and soggy and disappointing. This server raised her voice at me and said that couldn 't I see that she was doing everything? She asked if I had ever been a server and then she said I could get up and help if I didn 't like it. Her raised voice attracted the attention of other customers. It was highly uncalled for and inappropriate. She was clearly stressed, but that is no reason to verbally attack a customer and put the fault of the service and food on the customer. This restaurant lost three long-time local customers yesterday thanks to the actions of the server. If could give no stars and still write the review, I would do so.

My gal pals and I went in today for lunch around 11ish wasn't to busy at that time. The gal greeted us and was very attentive she was kind and then it started to get busy and that was to be expected it was lunch time. We ordered our food and waited a little bit and that was totally fine. We had over heard her telling other guest she was alone (the server) so we expected a delay not a big deal. When we finally got our food.... it was cold. Good but cold. We both ordered the chili rianos with a taco and rice and beans. We ate the Chili rianos cold but it was good. My friend said quietly to the server yes it was good but our food was cold. She was letting her know as a FYI the server completely lost her cool rasing her voice saying to my friend that's she's the only one working and if she had a problem with the service she was more than welcome to get up and help along with other personal attacks. Very unprofessional.We understand she was alone. We understand she was doing the best she could. The food was cold. We received our food she never came back to asked how it was because she was alone and taking care of way too many people by her self. The issue and her b reaction could have been handled better. Shame on her and shame on thinking one person could handle the bar and orders all by her self. I will probably never go back.
