Bird Cage Saloon - Prescott

This restaurant experience was a nightmare! We were tourists trying to enjoy ourselves, but ended up spending a lot of money here due to the locals. My partner, who is a brain tumor patient, has a service dog, so we wanted to try the whiskey selection. We sat at a table near the entrance, but within minutes the owners aggressively approached us, shouting and swearing that dogs were not allowed. I tried to show them the service dog collar, but they continued to swear at us. The owner even demanded that the dog be removed, despite it being a service animal. I had to leave to get my phone, and when I returned, a group of drunken patrons who were smoking outside attacked my partner, putting him in a headlock and assaulting him. It was chaos. My partner pushed one of the abusive owners, which was wrong, but the situation escalated unnecessarily. We called the police, but they did not press charges as there were no witnesses and the attackers and owners denied any wrongdoing. It was a terrible experience. When I mentioned my partner's brain tumor during the attack, the female owner callously replied that she also had a brain tumor. It was a disturbing and upsetting situation.

This is a great spot. The bartender was proficient in handling a busy bar during the afternoon. I played country music on the jukebox, which really added to the atmosphere. I enjoyed a nice time here with my father after the Watson Lake car show.

We have a second home in Prescott, but we also reside in Phoenix. We have been frequenting The Birdcage for 8 years now and it is a fantastic place for drinking, partying, and dancing. We have met both locals and visitors alike and enjoy the live bands, especially since we are fans of rock and roll. We are excited to go back this weekend and highly recommend it to others. The bartenders are fantastic and will take good care of you!

Always good bands play here. older amount that fits me well. very lonely place closes at 12 o'clock so early.
