Many people complain about how rude the owner is, but honestly, isn't that part of the experience at Karen's Diner? Diners are paying for this unique service. The food is fantastic, with generous portions and great value. If you're looking for smiles and polite service, you might pay an extra $10 at other places, but you won't get the same memorable experience. So, let's stop being so sensitive and enjoy what this place has to offer!

I had the roasted chicken rice and found it to be lacking; it was very dry and difficult to chew. I was definitely disappointed. On a positive note, the honey was lovely.

I communicate with my dog better than the owner communicates with his customers.

Same experience as nearly everyone else here. Rude and arrogant owner, screaming at me over the phone when it was his mistake. No apology, just care factor zero. I WAS a regular customer too. Not any more…

SERVING PORK IN THE NAME OF HALAL FOOD, NOT ADMITTING MISTAKE AND OUTRIGHT RUDE!The lady at the counter confirmed beef and chicken is halal and will be cooked separately, confirmed food will be halal, and then served us dinner pack with pork in the fried rice! We called and the owner hung up the phone on us! When called again, stated WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HALAL IS WHAT! WHY MAKE FALSE PROMISES!! Did not even care to apologise!! The level of rudeness from this person is unbelievable! Went on and on about how wrong we are! I wanted to give local business a chance and its sad to see owners like this! All we wanted was an acknowledgement of mistake! But sadly, seems deliberate! I have never faced such an issue in Australia before!I am NEVER going to this place again!
