Lizzie B 's is a great little goto local joint. They boast Hawaiian theme/roots, with great salad/sandwich/and burger options. I hear they have a great draft beer selection; however, I do not partake so I can not give any input there. What keeps me coming back is the Cactus Chili! Sweet with just the right amount of heat. I love it so much. The spinach dip appetizer is yummy. I love the salmon salad with apple vinaigrette dressing. If you are in the area don 't miss out on some Lizzie B 's!
I had a wonderful experience at Lizzie B's for lunch today, and my expectations were truly exceeded. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the decor, creating a warm, relaxed, and visually appealing dining atmosphere. The use of natural wood, fascinating memorabilia from the owner’s time in Hawaii, and eclectic furnishings made the wait enjoyable and engaging. Although we arrived during the lunch rush and had to wait a few minutes, we were seated relatively quickly. Our server let us know they were short-handed and apologized for any delays, but they were prompt in taking our order, and our food arrived swiftly. The menu is fantastic, offering a wide variety of intriguing options, including salads (the kale salad was delightful), sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and several entrees. Everyone in our group was pleased with their meals. I was particularly excited to find a gluten-free cookie on the menu. Thank you, Lizzie B's, for exceeding my expectations so thoroughly! I will definitely be back!
Today, my son and I found ourselves in Prestonsburg and decided to give it another go. I ordered the Blue Bacon Burger, topped with blue cheese, bacon, sprouts, and more cheese, accompanied by fries. My son chose the Kilauea Burger, which features jalapeños and plenty of heat, also with fries. Both burgers were delicious; although we had ordered them well done, they could have used a few more minutes on the grill, but they were still enjoyable. We also loved the fries, and they came with a tasty dill pickle spear. I opted for unsweet iced tea (being a Texan, it’s my preference), which was good, while my son had lemonade—though I found it a bit weak, he liked it. While burgers aren’t the main specialty here, the menu offers many other fantastic dishes, including personal specialty pizzas, paninis, and locally baked desserts. This place is perfect for groups of women or men looking for something beyond standard meat and potatoes. The decor is quite unique, and they have a patio area for outdoor dining when the weather is nice. Prices are reasonable (averaging around $15 per person), and the meals are definitely worth it.
We recently moved to the area and were worried about finding our kind of place in terms of a date night restaurant. Thankfully, we found Lizzie B 's, and it has become our go to place. The restaurant is funky and eclectic as far as decor and furnishings. The menu offers everything from lattes to smoothies to wines to a great selection of beers to pair with your meal. The food itself is amazing so far, we 've tried every appetizer they offer, and everything has been fantastic (my personal favorite is the pimento cheese dip). The menu offers an incredible selection of sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and entrees all of which are fresh and generously portioned. What makes Lizzie B 's even better are the people. The service is always out of this world good, and it draws such a wide range of people in as customers. If I could give Lizzie B 's more than five stars, I totally would!
