The recommendation of the restaurant in Preveza city, Crazy Shrimp or Treli Garida was spot on! At Treli Garida they have these awesome, huge, tasty shrimps fished directly from the Ionian Sea or maybe the Ambracian Gulf. The owner of Treli Garida was very kind to me and was offering cheese made by cow milk instead of feta cheese, as they blend the cheese into the pasta. Every time he supplied me with a portion of parmesan cheese which fits perfectly with all the delicious flavours of the meal. He also facilitated for cutlery in the hotel where I was staying. One of the evenings, I ordered a complementary salad, one of the waiters was kind to suggest to me to make half a portion as a full would be too much. All the staff were very attentive, and they were always friendly in their approach, even though I (unfortunately) do not speak Greek yet. Please keep in mind that the sign of the restaurant was written in Greek only, so looking for a sign with Crazy Shrimp or Treli Garida in Greek is an excellent idea. Honestly, I would kill someone (not literally) to have another portion of the shrimp pasta and the salad. This combination is perfection.
Very nice place with fresh food! It gets very busy around 8-10pm and it’s very difficult to find a seat. I went twice during my stay in Preveza and I must say I was amazed when the owner told some people who had just sat down to leave because me and my girlfriend had gotten there before them and had priority! I recommend it fully!
Picked because of so many good reviews, therefore the disappointment is not proportional. The waiter recommended the swordfish, so we ordered the swordfish, but the cook killed the swordfish a second time. It was bone dry and it did not taste good. I returned it. I asked for fried anchovies instead. The rest of the food was good, even very good. But what is making me drop a second star, is that the check came back with the returned item listed and charged. After taking to the waiter, he deducted half of the swordfish price, while still charging the replacement dish. This left me with a bitter taste. A restaurant like that should acknowledge a bad dish, and not charge it, not even half price.
The price was reasonable, Tzatziki and shrimp were delicious but I can’t say the same for other food. They were so so.
