Should have stayed home and done a frozen Stouffers. Bread was horrible, tasted like plain flour, I got some pasta dish with sausage and written up as garlic and a little heat. It was oily noodles, no garlic or heat. I asked for marinara to give it some life. The sausage was some prepacked stuff that is sliced and goes on pizza. My wife got canalonni and it was good. Just good, about a couple notches above chef bouyardee. This was the new restaurant, our experience at the old place was the same just thought maybe something may have improved. Nope.
This just looked like an ol country joint... but the food was actually pretty good. Seemed like I was in there forever... but it is a sit down place... not fast food... though I felt like nearly 2 hrs for lunch was a bit excessive. Prices were ok... average for this type of place. I have to agree with another writer, Those seats were a killer.
Food was average, Far from the best, but Far from the worst. It's an older place, but fairly clean. Food was slow coming, but I was with a larger group.... (9 people so maybe that is why it took so long? Anyway, I was in no rush, Waitress was nice, My only complaint was that the chairs were an extremely hard wood... At the 30 min mark I had to get up and walk around because of the pain... SO hard, that it kept making my butt cheek go numb and ache. They should consider a better chair...or padded cushions, or something... It wasn't just me as several in my group complained about how very hard it was... like sitting on cement or steel.
Superior Italian food versus most.
