The service at Kauai Grill is excellent! Interested in getting pampered while you're dining? We had the best server and bus boy duo. We went to Kauai Grill in April for our anniversary celebration and were so pleasantly surprised when we got Paco (I hope I got his name right) again! Best bus boy ever! Our server was so nice and offered to take a sunset pic for us when he had a moment. I remember those who offer top notch service. The food was incredible, especially the sashimi in yuzu sauce, the pork chop and lobster mash potatoes. What a nice dining experience!
We were fortunate to get a booth close to the window so we could better enjoy the view, but unfortunately, the booth was not made to accommodate 4 people. Two in our party sat in chairs with their backs to the window. The restaurant could use some updating, and I understand that may be happening, so maybe they can address the seating situation? The service was very good friendly and professional. The food was also good. We enjoyed everything we had.
The view is absolutely breathtaking, sunset can't be beat. The servers are friendly and informative. We started with the seafood tower, this is a must! Absolutely the most tender boiled shrimp I've ever had. The crab legs are delicious and pre cracked, so no work for that delicious meat (drawn butter was not served but would be a welcome addition). The oysters on the half shell were salty and delicious. I had the mahi mahi, it was great but not mind blowing. It is served with a beurre blanc like sauce over mushrooms (kind of an odd pairing) we also had lobster mashed potatoes to share (fantastic) and asparagus (run of the mill). All in all a great meal and an even better view.
My wife and I loved this place. The view might be the best on the island and the food was top notch. We had the seafood tower to start which was a traditional spread of shrimp, oysters and crab legs. We then had the filet mug on which were seared perfectly to our liking. The sauce they give you for the steaks was unusual but really good. Our server Frank did an excellent job guiding us on the menu and getting everything we needed quickly. We have an excellent experience and highly recommend.
