We were waiting in the airport holiday inn express in lissabon to catch a flight the next morning, too tired to do more but starving. On-line ad for Goa-Massala caught our eye and looked like we could walk there. the neighbourhood seemed a...bit sketched in an industrial park, but we found the place light enough. our waiter stood out when we arrived and welcomed us. we were the only customers, but the advertising said that the case could be. this place is super busy for lunch, but dinner is quiet. our waiter was gracious, warm and spoke excellent English, and when that came, we insisted that he made a picture for us. beautifully prepared and presented in authentic Indian copper bowls, which are kept warm by candles. we had the samosas as appetizers, followed by a simple nan (they offer different aromen,) rice and a vegetarian lens court and a vegetarian Chile glazing court. it was as delicious as it was attraktiw. the owners came out a few years ago from punjab and eating was authentic and super. and to overbid everything, we only paid 17 euro for the meal for two. a real tasty bite and one we recommend!
We have passed over this relatiw new Indian restaurant on the internet if we are looking for interesting places not too far from our airport hotel. it is about 30 minutes to walk or a quick 5 minutes taxi ride from the airport. we love Indian food and have sampled it in many locals. the owners of this restaurant are very friendly, there is a large menu, many drinks options, cheap and especially eating up to the standards of good Indian restaurants everywhere. we liked it so much that if we went through the airport for two weeks later, we have covered a point. at both locations we were the only customers to dinner, although we eat early according to Portuguese standards and apparently their big business is at midday. at our second visit, when the credit card machine of the restaurant did not like our card, the owner drove us to a cash machine and then left us in our hotel. we wish the restaurant a lot of success, and if we are back in lisbon, we will surely be eating there again.
Stay in holiday inn airport express, had a hard time to eat something. then found goa massala. google would not give instructions with the specified address. I have a map from the hotel. they need to drill through an industrial area only if it is. they are lost to look for a small sign that leads them into a small street. the restaurant is located at the top of the street. the owner was friendly and the food was really good and enough to take with me the next day on the plane. they will deliver to the hotel!
