Los Autenticos Tommys - Progreso

Our 3rd year in Progreso and Tommys is our go to place. We are proud to call Manuel, Jose, German,and Radish our friends. These guys go above and beyond for you. The food this year was better than last year. I survived on Coconut Shrimp. This place, like others in Progreso is a local restaurant so if you don't want to experience local culture just stay on the boat. But if you do venture off say hello to Manuel for me. Looking forward to next year already.

Terrible expirience.Everything is dirty. We planed to eat there but when I went to their toilet and passed kitchen I changed my mind.We only used their sunchairs and drinking there and waiter want to scam us.If I weren''t with my children I would called the police.I think that they never clean their beach front.So I suggest you to find another spot to fell great, there are plenty.

We just returned from a cruise, instead of buying an excursion we decided to just hit the beach. The bus dropped us off right around the corner from the beach and we took a stroll along the beach that is when we ran into the employees of Tommy's. We decided to park it right there and we had a blast the staff was great they waited on us hand and foot and they were the best. We never had to ask for a thing. If you are ever there, skip the excursion and go to Tommy's great prices and a ton of fun. We will go back for sure!!! I promise you will have a blast. Oh and don't forget to get a massage $15 and it was well worth it.

We discovered tommys on a discovery day in progreso..My wife and I had just moved to the yucatan and we love to find new fun places ..One day we met a guy on our walk and said cold beer ..you look thirsty..Said hi name was Manuel...well we were on our way to meet some friends at a different place ..and said next time amigo ...Well next time came ...and he remembered us and he said you want to sit on the beach ..Well of course .. a great crew they have at tommys ..the food ..omg ..try the coconut shrimp ..the octopus the fish the shrimp ..try it all ..we haven't had a bad time ever ...all our friends join us there ..and we have quite a large group ov amigos ...Buckets of beers ..tequila shots ..guacamole and salsa on the house .And the venders that stroll by all know us by name ..and my favorite part is my guitar friend who always sing my song ...la malegaina..it's beautiful...Well next time your in progreso stop in an see the gang at tommys ..and tell them Marco and Pamela sent you ..you won't be disappointed...
