Year after year we are simply amazed by the restaurant Les Hauts de Santa Giulia . The staff is truly welcoming and the food is simply amazing. The products are chosen with extra care and the vegetables grown in the garden. This is a true family restaurant, where an amazing cook and her mother are in the kitchen, while their daughter and her father are welcoming the guests. This year there is a new formula which makes it even more wonderful. There is a set menu for the starters which gives you a taste of all the restaurant can offer (we had 5 different starters even though we were 3 at the table). Tonight for example we had: an amazing buratta with garden vegetables, pata negra plate, prawn tempuras, local fish carpaccio. You can then choose from 5 main dishes. Among them you will have some fresh pasta cooked by the chef 's mother who is definitely of Italian origins as they are the best pasta I had for a very long time. Finally, they bring you a cart with various deserts! A truly amazing restaurant where we love to come over and over and over again!!
Went with my wife, for dinner. Immediately, we were struck by the restaurant feel-good atmosphere; we were greeted by smiling and professional staff.. We sat in the lovely garden. Worth mentioning that when we called to book, we were informed that the restaurant had a new formulas consisting of a pre-set menu of 5 starters a choice of main one course (out of 3 proposed) and a desert. The food was perfect; a fusion of asian french cuisine prepared with very fresh local products; the main course that i've picked was a stunning coed fish, prepared the Thai way, with coconut sauce; wine was great too. We chatted with the owner, a very cool guy who gave us plenty of hints and advises on Corsica. Thumbs up, I would definitely return!
An innovative cuisine in line with he Asian fusion era which is kind of strange in the midst of southern Corsica but precisely the fusion of different cultures is a great idea...There was a delicious black cod recipe worth noticing... a very nice setting with a great view on Santa Giulia bay and an attentive and proactive staff. Definitely worth climbing there!
The place is beautiful. Service- no smile, he took twice the plates before asking if I finished, and i didn't. Cheese cake was tastless, with bed texture(unbake corn flour) They were not happy i sent it back, and found nothing is wrong with the cheesecake. I gave to the others to try it before I send it and all found it not eatable! Black cod was deep fried- doesn't written on the menu.... way to fry fish like that ?? Rest of the food was ok... Too expensive to what they delivered. Good parts- fish tartar was the only excellent plate. Le citron and mango pavlova was nice too
